Muslim singer, Wallace Salanje has just released a new Islamic song titled ‘Liumira’ in which the artist is preaching against stingy and asks Muslims and the general public to adopt the spirit of giving.
Salanje said some people always expect to receive not giving saying that the spirit is keep on growing.
“The [new nasheed] clarifies that a lot of people are stingy and they only expect to receive each and every time despite having something to give others who are less privileged in their communities. As a result, they have contributed to the general failure to give in the name of Allah. For instance, during quruban and Ramadhan [the time Muslims slaughter animals for sacrifice and in the ninth month in the Islamic calendar in which Muslims observe a month long fasting respectively]. The Prophet Muhammad [Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him] through his teachings said blessed is the hand that gives. Therefore, I am urging the Muslims to be the givers all the time and do not just expect to receiv. When one gives, he or she gets rewards from Allah,” said the soft spoken Salanje.
On the other hand, Salanje promised his fans more works from him because he is preparing to work for his third album and it will be released within this year.
So far, Salanje has two albums to his credit and these are Chipitileje Kwapi? a 2014 production and Mbiya released in 2016.
He has also worked with a number of country’s Muslim artists like Ishmael Katawala, Abdul Salaam Mpira and many others to mention but a few.
Liumira was recorded and produced by Sydney Tambulasi at Red Disk Studios in Chilimba township of Blantyre.
