Blantyre City based Young Travellers Theatre (YTT) says it’s set to premiere its first ever movie titled The Beautiful Hen Behind the Yao Mountain.
YTT director Imran Kingsley Shaban said the movie will be premiered on June 30 at Mibawa Multipurpose Hall in Limbe.
“It’s a love story whose setting is in Akulalanje village. Amadu fell in love with Asuwema and the two love birds agreed to get married though Asuwema was pregnant for Amadu. Things changed because Amadu was Asuwema’s brother. Let me run away from preempting,” said Shaban while briefly painting a picture of the movie.
He asked people to come in large numbers to appreciate local talent displayed in the 1 hour 20 minutes movie.
“We have tried and we have done our part. Now it’s up to the people to come and judge our production. Their presence will be of paramount importance and we will not take it for granted,” said Shaban.
Apart from the movie, YTT has stage productions which are Election Day, Be My Only One, Fisi, Rise of Islam, No Throne for Babies and Nankhoma.
The Beautiful Hen Behind The Yao Mountain was produced at Kay Kay Productions by the hands of Imran Kaisi.
