Soldier Lucius Banda Apologises To Malawians In RSA On Behalf Of Nepman
Celebrated Music Artist, Lucius Banda says, a popular celebrity must always select the right words to put across the public domain.
The icon said this, when communicating an apology, to the communities of Malawians living in the Republic of South Africa (RSA), on behalf of the upcoming multitalented music artist Nepman, whose video clip insulting Malawians living in the rainbow nation, has gone viral on social media.
In his video recorded apology, Sir Lucius Banda promises the aggrieved men and women in the diapora that, he will sit down with Nepman and reason with him about his wrong doing.
In his humble request for forgiveness, Banda suggests that, for the insulting video clip to go viral, it was the friend of Nepman who went a mile to post the twofold joking conversation that has eventually attracted attention of the public.
“In life we do have close friends whom we freely over-interract with and I believe Nepman was interacting with such a friend, but then, he failed to keep the private conversation between the two of them,” said Banda.
“I also have such friends and for instance, there is a friend called Tchipa in Capetown with whom I jokingly engage in careless conversation but between the two of us,” he added.
In his insulting video clip, Nepman who is also member of Lucius Banda’s Zembani band, is seen filming a selfie standing next to a girl and in vernacular Chichewa, he tells Malawians in RSA that they force themselves to live in the foreign country although their lives are not improving.
“Mumakakamira maiko a eni ake koma zikukukanikani, ifetu timakakamila kuno kwathu kaya tidya matemba kaya tidya chani komabe ndi kwathu,” said Nepman.
Following Nepman’s offensive video clip, some gun totting youths living in South Africa posted their own clip, in which they were seen angrily threatening to kill Nepman whether when he visits the country again or when they find him back home in Malawi.
