Businessman Harold Tanganyika Dies In A Road Accident
Fatal road accident has claimed life of the youthful Phalombe based businessman, Harold Tanganyika who died on the spot of accident on Saturday morning.
The deceased businessman was driving a Toyota Fortuner with registration number MN 7921, which overturned upon reaching a place called Muthukwa in Phalombe soon after Mulli’s warehouse.
Eye witnesses have told Malawi Freedom Network that, the vehicle had overturned at around 6 am after the late Tanganyika failed to control the vehicle along the bends of the hilly topographical area.
Family sources have disclosed that, the deceased was at the time of accident, returning from overnight prayers in Blantyre and had 6 passengers on board with him inclusive.
Of the the 6 people in the car, the late Tanganyika is the only one who died.
Sources have also disclosed that, the deceased’s first born daughter, Faith, was seriously wounded and is currently in critical condition at Mwaiwathu Private Hospital in Blantyre.
It has also been learnt that deceased was related to Member of Parliament Phalombe North East, Dennis Namachekecha.
In an interview, Namachekecha expressed shock over the sudden death of businessman whom described as a relative and friend who was always there in thick and thin.
“I’m so devastated upon hearing about the demise of Tanganyika because he was always close, my confidant who even greatly supported my last campaign and I shade many tears,” lamented Namachekecha.
The body of the late Tanganyika will be laid to rest today, Sunday, at Lolo Village, Traditional Authority Nazombe in Phalombe district.
