Who Petrol Bombed The Office Of MCP Veep Sidik Mia In Blantyre? It Is DPP, Says MCP Top Brass
The blame for nocturnal torching of the office of Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Vice President, Sidik Mia has been heaped on the thugs sent by the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).
The verbal mention of the blue party’s involvement in acts of political savagery was articulated by MCP Secretary General (SG), Eisenhower Mkaka on Friday during the press briefing which the party held in Lilongwe.
The SG said, just as they did when they torched the party’s Regional Office at Chichiri in Blantyre, in the same manner and style the DPP terror operatives have done it again by torching the office of the party’s second in command.
“We know, just as every knows that it’s the DPP and no-one else but DPP doing again what they know best,” said Mkaka.
Mkaka therefore warned that the MCP will not just sit back and watch the political terrorists unleashing terror in the name of political intimidation going scot free.
“They send their cadets to intimidate us with terror and we will not allow this to continue,” he said.
In response, DPP Spokesperson, Nicholas Dausi denied the accusation and laughed it off.
“They are being unfair with us because we don’t have any intention to start a war in this country,” said Dausi.
According to George Mdala, an employee at S & A Cold Storage, the torching of Mia’s business office occurred at around 2 o’clock on the morning of Friday.
The incident happened while both Mia and his wife Abida were away in Lilongwe to oversee the Presidential Elections dispute case which started at the Constitutional Court on Thursday.
The arson has since been reported to police.
