MTAMBO READY TO DIE WITH MALAWIANS
HRDC chairperson, Timothy Mtambo says as long as he is alive, and still have mental faculties, he will never stop fighting for a free, just, fair and developed Malawi.
The HRDC set August 26_ 30, 2019 as dates for holding vigils at the border districts and airports to force Mec chairperson Justice Dr. Mrs. Jane Ansah sc to resign for mismanaging the May,21 presidential polls.
Sensing danger for the country’s losing the much needed forex, president Peter Mutharika on Wednesday during commissioning of war ships in Mangochi ordered the police and MDF to stop the demonstrations and protests accusing MCP and UTM as being behind the HRDC.
Mutharika said an attack on the borders and airports is treason, warning the organisers of the demos to stop forthwith as the two security agents will use necessary force.
After Mutharika made the order, social media reports went viral in the evening alleging that senior police officers were in a meeting at area 30 national police headquarters in Lilongwe planning to arrest and kill Mtambo for the demonstrations to end in the country.
Writing on his Facebook page, Mtambo said he is ready for anything and even in the after life and he is committed for the cause.
Mtambo said he is a dead person because in their hearts they already killed him by petrol- bombing his compound in Lilongwe at area 9 and now they are planning to arrest the dead person.
He said the HRDC is ready to engage anyone but does not want to be threatened saying the members worship a powerful and owesome God and the heavens are watching them.
In another dramatic event, Malawians were awakened with reports that Mtambo’s home village in Chitipa was petrol- bombed in the early hours of Thursday.
The petrol- bomb was thrown by unknown assailants, missing the targeted house and instead fell on the roof of a kitchen.
The village communities mobilised themselves and they managed to control the fire before calling the police.
Malawians have been up and down the streets demanding for electoral justice since Mec Chairperson Justice Dr. Mrs. Jane Ansah sc declared president Peter Mutharika winner of the presidential fraudulent elections.
