What Is Enock Chizuzu Of MCP Saying About DPP Paying Him Money?
A lot has been said about the May 21 Parliamentary Elections hot contender in Nsanje-North Constituency, Enock Chizuzu, that he has been paid money by the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to turn against the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) in muzzling the course of justice by refusing to testify in the ongoing Presidential Elections case.
Curious with the much talked about greed for money by a man who apparently displayed so much political prowess to unseat his DPP rival, Esther Mcheka Chilenje, this publication caught up with Chizuzu to hear from the horse’s mouth and tap his reaction about the widespread buzz of DPP money exchanging hands to bribe MCP witnesses.
Enock Chizuzu: I cannot be bought to stop fighting for justice
In a calm and laughing tone, Chizuzu simply rubbished the rumour saying: “I can never be bribed by the DPP and nobody can stop me from fighting for justice.”
He said he received rumours that he has been bought with surprise but then immediately threw the whole “gibbering” into the rubbish bin, knowing that such rumours, had been influenced by some quarters of people who took advantage of people’s ignorance on how the presidential elections case in the Constitutional court was progressing.
Chizuzu explained that the eventual cancellation of many witnesses including him together with the other two witnesses, Tione Malizani and George Quoma was done by MCP’s legal counsel as way to expedite the court process.
“I understand these rumours started immediately after MCP legal counsel had announced the withdraw of the 34 witnesses from testifying and I can assure you the whole talk is a just DPP propaganda aimed at confusing people especially my supporters,” said Chizuzu.
On social media, the scathing attack on Chizuzu and Quoma, went as: “To Chizuzu and Quoma, you are a waste of human resource. Your parents should have rather condomized that day. You are a waste of sperm and a huge disgrace, you will soon be embarrassed because a re-run is just around the corner. The blood money you have received from corrupt activities is your own destruction.”
Chizuzu whose parliamentary election dispute case is currently in the High court said it doesn’t make any sense to turn against his party MCP and at the same time be fighting for justice in court against what he believes were fake results that saw Malawi Electral Commission (MEC) declaring his DPP contender, Mcheka Chilenje winner.
In what he calls DPP masterminded fake gossip, money ranging between MK2 Million and MK20 Million is said to have been used in buying out Chizuzu.
Days ago, George Quoma who had contested as an independent in Chikwawa Central, another hot contender had announced his withdraw of parliamentary elections case on personal reasons.
Asked to comment on Quoma’s withdrawal, Chizuzu said he had learnt about the development with the allegation of surprise and worry but quickly said: “Its wrong for people to put me in the same calabash with my counterpart because we differ.”
But then, after all is said and heard from the horse’s mouth, one is made to finally believe that Enock Chizuzu is just a victim of naked propaganda by political spin doctors.
