Nyamilandu Rolls His Manifesto In Style.

The president of the Football Association of Malawi (Fam) Walter Macmillan Nyamilandu launches his manifesto dubbed ‘Raising the Bar’ on Thursday evening.

The ceremony which will take place at Amaryllis Hotel in the commercial capital city of Blantyre is expected to lay down the football foundation which is expected to raise the country’s football to reach its stardom.

Meanwhile one of the soccer analysts, Moses Dossi has described Nyamilandu as the candidate among all the other contestants who is intelligent and has the clout and the strategy to market the game.

Dossi further said the FAM president has developed a quadrangle power which is helping in marketing the game of football, considering the lucrative sponsorships deals he has secured such as the FDH Cup.

“Nyamilandu is a serious marketer and he has vast experience in running the game of football, you cannot compare him with people whose education background is very questionable,

“Walter knows where to go even during times of crisis he has been able to find sponsorships, those hating him must have other reasons outside football, but if we talk about our beautiful game then the guy is above them all,” Dossi said.

A fortnight ago the Fam First Vice president, James Mwenda unveiled his manifesto, ‘The Rebirth of Football’ in the city of Lilongwe, which some soccer enthusiasts says left outpertinent issues such as youth football development agendawhich is the basis for meaningful soccer development.

Other aspirants for the same post of president who have already unveiled their manifestos include Vingula Balawalaand Alufeyo Chipanga Banda while Moses Mkandawire is expected to launch his on Saturday in the city Mzuzu.

Daud Mtanthiko and Jabbar Alide will go head-to-head for the position of First Vice President whereas the incumbent second Vice President Orthaniel Hara shall battle it out with the Northern Region Football Association (NRFA) chairperson, Lameck Khonje on the position of the association’s second vice president.

Several people including Mohammed Selemani, Rashid Ntelera, Felister Dossi, and Masiya Nyasulu have expressed interest in contesting for the position of executive committee members.
