Lilongwe, November 9: Minister of Information and Digitalisation, Gospel Kazako Wednesday presided over the official opening of Malawi Space Conference at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe.

In his remarks Kazako said investing in space technology will contribute towards Malawi’s economic growth.

A symbolic presentation of Network Services, facilities and Appreciation licence was presented to Starlink Limited which seeks to provide high speed, low latency and affordable broadband internet in remote areas across the country.

The conference, hosted by Malawi Communication Regulatory Authority (MACRA) is themed “Exploring Space Resources For Malawi 2063” will run from November 9-11th.
