45 Lunzu Secondary School students in Blantyre were reportedly rushed to Mlambe Mission Hospital for medical attention after allegedly eating ‘intoxicated food.’
Ministry of Education spokesperson, Mphatso Nkuonera has confirmed the development; adding most of them are responding well to treatment.
He says three of them are still being assessed at the hospital. School authorities are yet to comment.
Meanwhile, use of food items at the school is indefinitely suspended as authorities are still working on the matter.
