Human Rights Advocator Sir Charles Ben Longwe, has urged Malawians never and ever to give comfort to those who have made them uncomfortable for 5 years in government observing that prices of essential commodities have risen beyond the reach of average Malawians.
Ben Longwe said for 5 years in government, MCP politicians have stolen a lot and they are pretending as if they have not stolen from Malawians saying if the country is in trouble today, it is because of these people who have stolen from Malawians.
He said the MCP government found things moving in the right direction but all of a sudden, things have changed as some ministers have turned themselves into millionaires with unexplained worth making Malawi poor and poorer.
Speaking through an audio clip, Ben Longwe said the country has no fertilizer, farmers who could have produced a lot of maize to feed themselves and sale the surplus, have lost hope for their survival, hunger is biting them so hard as a bag of maize is being sold at K110,000.
Ben Longwe has advised Malawians never and ever respect, clap hands and smile on MCP politicians who caused problems on them for their survival and they should not be given space to continue telling them lies that they are servant leaders.
He said MCP under President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has ruled the country with an iron fist urging Malawians never and ever to give them another 5 years of destroying the country claiming that they promised to change Malawi but have failed and instead, its them who have changed, they are millionaires over a night.
The Advocator has pleaded with Members of Parliament (MPs) and Leader of Opposition Dr. George Chaponda not to be afraid, move a motion of impeaching President Chakwera for failing to govern the country and instead destroying the country.
“We need an Interim Government from February to September, 2025 these remaining 5 months with President Chakwera in office, will be another painful 5 years,” said Longwe.
Ben Longwe has argued that 80 Pastors from Blantyre CCAP Synod cannot leave Blantyre to pray for Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika in Mangochi without the knowledge of the Synod General Secretary saying Malawi is in trouble today because of fake Reverends as they don’t have a heart to serve the Lord but their own berries.
He said it is sad that President Chakwera being an ordained Priest gave money to Reverends of Blantyre CCAP Synod to disown a prayer for Professor Mutharika describing this as a shame to President Chakwera saying in the next demonstrations which are being organized, they will stop at the Blantyre CCAP Synod and Assemblies of God School of Theology in Lilongwe to clarify disowning a prayer according to the doctrines.
Ben Longwe has finally accused Reverends of the Malawi Assemblies of God for not going to the State House to advise their fellow man of God to listen to the cries of Malawians but instead, they have been going there to receive khaki envelopes to fatten their own bellies while their flocks they don’t know what to eat tomorrow.
