Vice President Dr. Michael Usi attends memorial service for Namibia’s First President Sam Nujoma

Vice President of Malawi, Rt. Hon. Dr. Michael Bizwick Usi, on Friday, February 28, 2025, attended the memorial service of the late First President and Father of the Republic of Namibia, Dr. Sam Nujoma.

The solemn event took place at the Independence Stadium in Windhoek, Namibia, where thousands of mourners gathered to pay their last respects.

Dr. Nujoma, who led Namibia to independence and served as its first President, was a revered statesman and a symbol of liberation.

His passing marks the end of an era for Namibia and the African continent as a whole.

The late Former President will be laid to rest on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Heroes Acre in Windhoek, Namibia.
