NANKHUMWA GRACES MATAFALE MEMORIAL SHOW AT CHILEKA, URGES GOVERNMENT TO SET UP MUSIC COLLEGE IN HONOUR OF FALLEN MUSICIAN Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Honourable Dr. Kondwani Nankhumwa took time off his busy schedule to join tens of thousands of reggae enthusiasts on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at an Evison Matafale memorial live music show. The memorial show is a yearly event, which is organized by the Black Missionaries, a reggae outfit that Matafale founded in the early 2000s. The memorial show is held at Gadaga grounds in Chileka, their home. Evison Matafale was born on 20 November, 1969 and died while in police custody on 27 November, 2001. By Kondwani Kandiado St Cecilia Women Choir( popularly known as choir 3) of St Mathias Catholic parish-Lumbadzi in the Archidiocese of Lilongwe says it is set to launch its long awaited debut album, Timatamande Mulungu on Sunday November 6, 2022. According to the group's Chairperson Luwiza Botha, the 10-track CD will be launched at the church's hall from 1 pm and has songs like Chauta ngwachifundo, Kwa Yesu kwa Yesu, Titamande Mulungu, Katibadwira kamwana, Ine ndimwe pakuchimwa, ndikubwera kuti ndidzipereke among others. Castel Malawi Limited has committed K10 million to Epic Lifestyle ahead of the Kizz Daniel concert at Lilongwe Golf Club tomorrow. The company's regional manager Andrew Ngombende says they work together with Epic Lifestyle hence supporting them. Epic Group Chief Executive Officer Yollam Kawanga says they are delighted with the coming on board of Castel Malawi with the K10 million support. Kizz Daniel famed for the song Buga will arrive in the country this morning ahead of the concert tomorrow where he will share the stage with 18 local acts including Onesimus, Tay Grin and Black Missionaries.

The eminent music festival which starts from 30th to 2nd October at Kambiri Beach in Salima continues to earn support from the corporate world at a time when Zambian Yo Maps has been named the first international act. KONDWANI KANDIADO- CITIZEN JOURNALIST The Mponela Catholic Choir 1 of the Lilongwe Archdiocese says they are set to launch their long awaited fourth DVD on July 31, 2022. The DVD titled 'Zonsezi ndindani' has songs like Mtendere, ndikamva njala, timuthokoze, iwe mkhristu ochimwa among others which have already started enjoying air play. According to the Choir Chairperson, Anastanzia Banda, Zonsezi ndindani, is the fourth DVD to be launched after Nanzikambe, Mlomo and Ndikadakhala ndi mapiko. Castel Malawi has this afternoon announced a K16 million sponsorship towards this year's Sand Music Festival. The amount has been doubled from the K8 million the company pumped into the event last year. Unveiling the sponsorship at their headquarters in Blantyre, the company's head of national sales Nelson Banda said they believe in the cause and the spirit of the event as a tourism driver.
