Malawians have been urged to remain peaceful to foster the flourishing of developmental projects.
The call was made by the Sunni Foundation during the Ziyara Parade earlier today.
Anis Ismail, Ziyara Parade Coordinator, made the remarks in Lilongwe as Muslims commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
“The nation is coming from a worst disaster. The devastation by Cyclone Freddy was unprecedented. Peace is a fabric that holds society together. Development projects accelerate in a peaceful environment. In addition, hosting joyous celebrations like these shows how harmonious Malawians are,” said Ismail.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Rajab Malekano of Quadria Muslim Association of Malawi, has called out Malawians not to relent in prayer for peaceful co-existence.
