A warning has been issued to Malawi Congress Party candidate for Dedza Central Constituency by-elections, Willard Gwengwe, to remain loyal to his constituents after being ushered into power.
MCP Regional Chairman for the centre, Patrick Zebron Chilondola, has issued the warning as the polls are four days away.
Chilondola observes that a number of legislators leave their constituencies after being voted into office, a development he described as worrisome.
“MCP believes in servant leadership. I therefore call upon Gwengwe to remain intact with his voters across the constituency and listen to their needs so that we can developed the area,” he says.
He however squashed rumours that the MCP candidate is not from Dedza Central Constituency, arguing that the law permits a bonafide citizen to contest anywhere of their choosing.
