Malawi Freedom Fighters-MFF Angry With MP Werani Chilenga

The Malawi Freedom Fighters-MFF through its Executive director Prof Kinka Makoloni says it is deeply concerned with the plans from Werani Chilenga, where he say he wants to table a motion where he want the house to accept that MP’s should be receiving the half salary after retirement.

Member of Parliament for Chitipa South want to move in the house a motion that Ex MP’s should be given half monthly salary for the rest of their lives.

Chilenga say his notice of private members motion, dated 1st August 2023, the MPs want parliament to resolve that Ex MP’s should be receiving a monthly salary at half of the amount they were getting while in power.

According to Chilenga under Standing order 74 of his intentions to move the following motion considering the important service that a member of parliament offered to this nation during their tenure of office.

But Malawi Freedom Fighters says is deeply sad that while Malawians are suffering facing tough moment instead of a member for parliament thinking on how to save the nation they are busy thinking on themselves.

In a letter released that we have seen Malawi freedon fighters Executive Director Kinka Makoloni say as an organization they cannot tolerant that kind of behaviour and gives a strong warning to Wirani Chilenga that he
must stop with his shameful plans failing which the Malawi Freedom Fighters
and its leadership will mobilise a serious demonstration in his constituency to DE
company him so that he will not return to the August house after 2025 general elections.

Meanwhile the organization has also warned members of parliament to respect
their people who voted them before the think about themselves.
