United Nations (UN), says it will continue supporting Malawi in transforming its economy through various interventions. Speaking after presenting her letters of credence to President Dr Lazarus Chakwera at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe, the new UN Resident Coordinator to Malawi, Rebecca Adda - Dontoh said the UN will make sure it strengthens its relations with the country through various partnerships aimed at addressing the many challenges the country is facing. The 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) has commenced at the UN Headquarters in New York City, United States of America. President Dr Lazarus Chakwera will be among the 192 world leaders to hold discussions during the high level deliberative session which starts on 20 September 2022. The assembly has reconvened physically after a break of two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
