Away from the hustles of politics, Leader of Opposition in Parliament and Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President responsible for the Southern Region, Right Hounarable Dr. Kondwani Nankhumwa, MP made a surprise appearance at a live music show by Malawi’s most famous reggae outfit, the Black Missionaries, on Saturday, July 2, 2022. The music show formed part of the official launch of Stephano Lodge, a magnificent lodging and entertainment place located near Chinakanaka in Right Honourable Dr. Kondwani Nankhumwa’s Mulanje Central constituency.
Coincidentally, the youthful politician is celebrating his 44th birthday on Sunday, July 3, 2022 and at exactly midnight on Saturday, the Right Honourable Dr. Kondwani Nankhumwa stormed the stage where he was welcomed by the Black Missionaries’ Manager, Ras Ray Harawa. Right Honourable Dr. Kondwani Nankhumwa then joined the Black Missionaries, led by the versatile vocalist, Anthony Makondetsa, in singing a ‘Happy Birthday’ song, which he (Dr. Nankhumwa) composed and released a few years ago.
In his remarks, the Right Honourable Dr. Kondwani Nankhumwa hailed the owner of the lodge, a Mr Novirikana for investing in the construction of that beautiful entertainment and hospitality facility, which would contribute to the development tourism in the district and, particularly, in his constituency. He pledged total support to the management of the lodge. Right Honourable Dr. Kondwani Nankhumwa also expressed gratitude to Ras Ray Harawa and the entire Black Missionaries band for wishing him a Happy Birthday.
