President of Chilungamo Party Comrade Alhaji Imraan Jumbe, says the upcoming 16th September, 2025 elections are not just flawed, they are poisoned at the roots advising Malawians and opposition parties that there is a time when silence becomes betrayal.
Jumbe says to continue with businesses as usual, to waste time and resources conducting whistle-stop tours, mega rallies are like pouring water into a basket –fruitless, foolish, and tragic observing that the system has already chosen its winner, President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.
He has lamented that the field is titled, the referee is biased, and the scoreboard is manipulated warning opposition parties that to participate is to give legitimacy to fraud observing that Mec which should be a sacred temple of integrity and impartiality has been hijacked by die-hard loyalists of the MCP.
Writing on his face book page, Comrade Alhaji Jumbe says the September, 2025 elections is a national emergency dressed in a ballot paper urging opposition candidates to withdraw, unite, and speak one voice.
Comrade Jumbe says the contaminated voter registration exercise must be questioned in the courts of law –not on podiums, or in the streets that why Mec is not transparent that they don’t want Malawians to know what is in their system and why?
He has questioned Mec that why are children registered in alarming numbers, the Central Region having double the number of voters compared to others and why names from opposition strongholds are mysteriously missing and a silent refusal to count votes manually.
The President has also asked Mec to explain to Malawians on why head teachers, Primary Education Advisors (PEAs), Inspectors and teachers from the Central Region were summoned to State House prior to the 16th September, 2025 elections.
Comrade Jumbe has challenged Malawians that there should not be one lamenting tomorrow that could have been challenged today saying the courts must be approached without delay, Mec must be summoned, questioned, and be held accountable.
“The September, 2025 elections have been contaminated, now is the moment to act, unite, resist, and demand accountability,” reads Alhaji Jumbe’s writings on the wall.
He has called for the current voter registration to be scrapped and started a fresh, no matter the cost saying “democracy is not cheap-freedom is never free”.
