Social commentator who is to run as Sese ward independent councilor in Lilongwe Isaiah Emmanuel Sunganimoyo, says it is very disappointing to note that some MCP members are thinking in reverse taking the MCP as theirs, describing this as a worrisome development.
Sunganimoyo said most of the people who take the MCP as theirs do not want to listen to voices of constructive criticism, saying this is what the party is being connected to carrying out atrocities in Malawi while in true sense, there are individuals hiding in the name of MCP.
He said it is sad that these people have labelled him an enemy of the MCP and do not want him to sit any near to President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera, and are working tirelessly to eliminate his life forgetting that he campaigned day and night for Chakwera and the MCP to get into the government.
In his crying message to President Chakwera, Sunganimoyo said today, he is living in fear of what tomorrow will be, his life is being followed by assassins not of the opposition camps but from within the members of the MCP.
Sunganimoyo has reported to President Chakwera that beside working hard for the party, he has received no gain or recognition that he fought gallantly for the MCP and President Chakwera, no NEEF loan or a business opportunity for 5 years of him in government.
He said he was banned from attending MCP meetings and once found, he will be killed questioning the killers why they want to kill him saying he is being insulted and castigated out of offering his personal support to President Chakwera and the MCP.
The social commentator said he opened a vocational Training centre for the youth to gain other vocational skills for them to be the reliable citizens of the land but TIVETA closed the support to him after being seen in the forefront blocking peaceful demonstrations organized by activist Bon Kalindo and his Malawi First crew.
He said he reported the closure of his Vocational training centre to President Chakwera in writing and appealing for a support of K500,000s but to his surprise, the Secretary to the President and Cabinet Colleen Zamba responded to him that she doesn’t give President Chakwera letters of one seeking financial support saying President Chakwera has no free basket money for all.
The commentator said he learnt with sadness that President Chakwera was inviting to the State residences various groups of people to dine with him and in the end dishing out K50,000s as transport funds.
Sunganimoyo said in July, 2024 he escaped death at the Regional MCP office in Lilongwe, after being invited by Abida Mia and Richard Chimwendo Banda as part of the MCP media team, observing that till to this day, he is not being told the reasons of killing him.
He has assured his assassins that time is coming to kill him claiming that he will not be the first one to die for the MCP and President Chakwera and he is ready for that in line with the offence he committed punishable by law.
