Mulanje — The United Transformation Movement (UTM) representative for the southern region district of Mulanje, Patricia Kaliati, has made a heartfelt appeal to Malawi’s youth, urging them not to give in to despair or resort to taking their own lives when faced with life’s challenges.

Speaking during a campaign rally in Luwangwa, Kaliati encouraged young people to hold on to hope and resilience, stressing that the UTM envisions a brighter future for every Malawian.

“Life may bring challenges, but giving up is never the solution. Let us stand strong together and push for a better Malawi,” Kaliati told the cheering crowd.

She urged voters to rally behind UTM candidates—from councilors and members of parliament to the party’s presidential hopeful—promising that the party will champion development that transforms lives.

Kaliati pledged that, if elected, she would ensure the continuation of critical projects, including the construction of roads, schools, and modern hospitals, to improve living standards in Mulanje and beyond.

Her message of hope and development comes at a crucial time as Malawians weigh their choices ahead of the upcoming elections.
