The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has announced that former President and DPP leader Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika will on Thursday embarks on a nationwide campaign tour from Nsipe in Ntcheu to Jenda Trading Centre in Mzimba district.

The DPP has invited party members, supporters, and the general public to join them in welcoming Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika as he outlines his great mission of restoring the country’s future in a renewed commitment.

There have been a lot of saying that Professor Mutharika is in capacitated because of his old age, he is looking frail, and his ears are developing deafness, others wishing him an early grave, time has now come to prove all of his critic wrong with a reminder that “no one is to live for life, we will all die.”

The coming out of Professor Mutharika for a nationwide campaign tour has brought joy to millions of DPP members and supporters that were feeling inferiority complex when they were being laughed at by members of the Malawi Congress Party.

Professor Mutharika’s running mate Justice Dr. Jane Ansah SC has set the ball rolling by kick-starting DPP campaign tour to some districts in the Southern Region of Malawi and she has been in the Northern Region on a similar campaign tour.

While in Mzuzu, Justice Dr. Jane Ansah SC represented former state presidents the late Professor Bingu wa Mutharika and Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika when the Livingstonia CCAP Mission bestowed them with certificates of recognition for their good governance during their tenure of offices.

Justice Dr. Jane Ansah SC received both certificates on behalf of the late Bingu wa Mutharika and Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika speaking for itself that Malawians enjoyed their leadership style and are waiting for the same with the coming back to power of Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika on the 16th September, 2025 elections.

Mrs. Elizabeth Kaliza Banda of Area 51 in Lilongwe, has appealed to all those involved in handling matters of security for the DPP not to allow uniformed police officers in any of DPP campaign rallies because the Malawi Police Service (MPS) has been proved to be not for the people but for the MCP.

Kaliza has expressed hope that the DPP has beefed up Professor Mutharika’s security so that there will be no handshaking with anybody only addressing people during his whistle-stops campaign meetings and appealed to all DPP members and supporters to provide security for one another as this will not give chance to the devils to find their way in.

She said it was the wish of the MCP that the DPP goes to the 16th September, 2025 elections without a presidential candidate but thanks the heavens for keeping Mutharika in good health assuring all that Malawians are ready to give him votes even if he is campaigning on a wheel chair.

“Professor Mutharika is a darling of all the suffering Malawians, proven leadership is coming with him on the 16th September, 2025 elections,” said Kaliza.
