CTS Courier MD Urges President-Elect Peter Mutharika to Empower Women and Youth

Lilongwe, Malawi – CTS Courier Managing Director, Jacqueline Msisya Bokosi, has called on President-elect Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to prioritize the empowerment of women and youth once he officially assumes office.

Bokosi emphasized that providing more opportunities for young people and women is critical for Malawi’s sustainable development. She noted that when empowered, these groups can contribute significantly to the country’s economic growth and social stability.

Focus on Jobs, Inflation, and Food Security

While congratulating Mutharika on his resounding victory, Bokosi expressed hope that his new administration will address some of Malawi’s most pressing challenges. These include:

Job creation for the growing youth population

Tackling inflation to stabilize the economy

Improving food security to ensure no Malawian goes hungry

Bokosi further highlighted the urgent need to support vulnerable groups, stressing that economic empowerment can also help curb the rising cases of suicide among young people and women who often face socio-economic hardships.
