Business entrepreneur Kondwani Kachamba Ngwira, has described the theft of German dogs at the Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe as a criminal case on security matters saying these dogs were not ordinary ones they were standing in as police officers providing security to the presidents.

Kachamba Ngwira says these dogs have numbers just the same as all other security officers saying he found no offence for police officers to be searching for their fellow missing officers claiming that they all belong to Malawi Police Service (MPS).

“Four police officers have been stolen, investigations have to be done with no time wasting and prosecutions,” reads his writings on the wall.

Political activist Bon Kalindo has advised President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to check on his legacy in case he is preparing to stand again in the 2030 presidential elections saying as his legacy stand today, no Malawian will vote for him.

Kalindo said this would have been the time for President Chakwera to carry out self- introspection of what exactly happened for him to lose the 16th September, 2025 presidential elections for corrections and possibly renewing his trust in Malawians.

He has asked President Chakwera not to be turned into a laughing stock by the world for stealing State House dogs reminding him that he is an ordained Priest and as a Priest he has to set and lead by example.

The activist has reminded President Chakwera that there were other presidents who lived at the same Kamuzu Palace such as Dr, Kamuzu Banda, Dr. Bakili Muluzi, Professor Bingu wa Mutharika, Dr. Joyce Banda, and Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, all left with clean records and what has made him for legacy to be destroyed?

He said there might be other people who have looted state House property but his name is being destroyed as the occupier of the house and he has to clean his record by informing Malawians of what really happened other than staying quiet as some other people have advised to do so.

“If you will be arrested, some other people will describe your arrest as political witch-hunting while the truth of the matter is that you are with-hunting yourself,” said Kalindo.

He has pleaded with President Chakwera to wear a human face by giving backs the dogs so that his name should not continue to be destroyed saying already Malawians are discussing on how the K67 billion allocation by Parliament to State House has been eaten as tomatoes.
