The Finance Minister said Malawi welcomes collaboration in public financial management and related areas, noting that the government is implementing wide-ranging reforms aimed at enhancing macroeconomic stability and restoring investor confidence.

He added that Malawi is also seeking cooperation in climate financing, renewable energy, and resilience-building initiatives, which are critical to supporting sustainable growth in line with the country’s long-term development blueprint, Malawi Vision 2063.

Mwanamvekha emphasised that partnerships in these areas would help the country address climate-related shocks while unlocking new opportunities for inclusive growth.

In his remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Xavier Bettel reaffirmed Luxembourg’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, saying his country stands ready to work closely with the Government of Malawi in areas of mutual interest.

The discussions underscore Malawi’s broader strategy to engage international partners in mobilising resources and expertise to support economic transformation and sustainable development.
