Mangochi, Malawi — United Democratic Front (UDF) president Atupele Muluzi has called on Malawians to vote for his party in the upcoming Malawi elections 2025, saying UDF is the only path to economic recovery and national stability.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Mangochi, Muluzi said Malawians should not miss the opportunity to bring back UDF into government, arguing that the party has a proven track record of good governance.
He reminded supporters that during UDF’s 20-year rule, the country enjoyed stability, job opportunities, and strong social services. According to Muluzi, things began to collapse in 2005 when “others grabbed government from UDF.”

“The challenges Malawians are facing today are because of leaders who do not wish the nation well. But during UDF’s leadership, things were better for everyone,” Muluzi told the crowd.
The UDF leader stressed that a vote for UDF in the 2025 elections would restore economic growth, improve education and healthcare, and create opportunities for youth and women. He warned that failure to support UDF would mean “losing the chance to escape poverty and suffering.”
As political campaigns intensify ahead of the September 2025 polls, the UDF is positioning itself as a party of experience and proven leadership, promising to deliver development and progress under Atupele Muluzi’s leadership.
