Prior to the nomination papers, some people from the MCP fabricated lies that Grace Chupa did not register her name with Mec in the voter registration exercise and as such, she is not qualifying to stand as an independent candidate for the constituency.

Those who were fabricating lies after seen that Grace Chupa’s nomination papers were well received by Mec, they changed tone and have all begun supporting her and they were all welcomed into her camp for change.

Speaking at Area 18 to the constituents, Grace Chupa assured the constituents that she is ready to develop the constituency and by the end of her 5 year’s mandate, she will leave a mark that there was a woman who has delivered in the interest of all.

Chupa said people of the constituency are tired of being deceived of development projects noting with a great concern that Constituency Development Fund (CDF) which has been the talk of the day, has not helped the constituency and many in the area do not know the existence of this basket fund.

She said the area need good roads, good schools and at least a hospital to reduce congestion of patients travelling to Area 18A Health Centre for medication saying due to the growing population in the area, it is a big challenge to have only one reliable hospital at Area 18A.

“It is my prayer that the constituents will vote for me to fulfill all of the development agendas I have planned,” said Chuka.

Mrs. Elizabeth Kaliza Banda of Area 51 a resident member of the area, has appealed to MCP, UDF, UTM and DPP members and supporters not to waste their vote voting for a Member of Parliament who can in no way win the 16th September, 2025 elections advising them to go to the winning side- Grace Chupa.

She said Grace Chupa has already been proved that she has a motherly heart after promising the constituents that she can be making by herself small development infrastructures without waiting for government to approve funds for the projects.

The woman said Grace Chupa being an independent MP, she will look after all the people in the constituency as one people and one family unlike the past where fertilizer coupons and free maize flour was only being distributed to members of the MCP only.
