A United Democratic Front (UDF) campaign rally at Nyambadwe Primary School grounds was unexpectedly disrupted by a swarm of bees.
The incident happened as the party continued its campaign trail ahead of the September 16 General Election.
The bees were seen flying from the direction of Blantyre Girls School before crossing over to Nyambadwe Primary School, where the rally was in progress.
This sudden movement of bees caused panic among the gathering, as people started running in different directions to avoid being stung.
The rally had to be paused temporarily to allow the situation to calm down.
Despite the panic, no one was reported to have been stung or seriously injured by the bees.
Party officials later managed to restore order, and the rally continued once it was safe for the supporters to return.
The disruption highlighted the unpredictable challenges that sometimes occur during political campaigns.
