Government says it has no intentions to sabotage broadcasting space in the country.
Minister of Information and Digitisation Gospel Kazako was reacting to a letter that the Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) has written to President Dr Lazarus Chakwera concerning the recent revocation of broadcasting licenses of some radio and television stations in the country by the Malawi Communication Regulatory Authority (MACRA).
Kazako was quick to point out that government realises the crucial role that the media plays in a democracy as such it would not deliberately impede the broadcasting space.
He said the government would soon call all relevant players to a round table to map the way forward on the matter.
