The Ministry of Health says the 900 health posts to be constructed across the country will cost over K180 million each.
The ministry’s spokesperson Adrian Chikumbe confirmed, adding that they will start with the construction of 55 health posts first.
According to Chikumbe, construction of 20 health posts is underway and is expected to be completed by June this year.
Health rights activist, George Jobe, has described this as good news and he also advised the government to complete construction of health centres that were abandoned in some districts.
