Renowned Malawian musician Zeze Kingston has officially launched his own music company, Money Making Music. The company, which was unveiled in a grand ceremony at the Bingu International Convention Center (BICC) in Lilongwe, aims to produce music, support artists, and organize various entertainment events.
During the launch, Zeze Kingston announced that James Makunje will take on the role of International Brand Manager. Makunje, who has previously supported several local artists in the music industry, will manage the company’s operations both locally and internationally.
Money Making Music has already signed a number of promising artists. Among them is Malimba Music, a group of young talents who collaborated with Zeze on the hit song Vula Malaya. The company has also signed up-and-coming solo artists NaeRae and En Vee, who have shown great potential.
The launch event was vibrant, featuring performances from artists like AidFest and Kineo, while the dance group Salama from Dzaleka brought energy and excitement with their impressive choreography. The night was a celebration of talent and a glimpse into what Money Making Music plans to offer the Malawian entertainment scene.
With this new venture, Zeze Kingston aims to nurture local talent, elevate Malawi’s music industry, and expand its reach beyond borders.
