Arsenal could sign PSG star Randal Kolo Muani in January

Arsenal could reportedly sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani in the upcoming January window, as per transfer journalist, Graeme Bailey.

It was widely reported in the summer that the Gunners were keen on strengthening the centre-forward position by signing a new prolific goal-scorer.

Numerous names were linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium with Viktor Gyokeres, Alexander Isak and Benjamin Sesko being among them. However, they eventually opted not to sign any striker before the deadline, instead, they decided to sell Eddie Nketiah to Crystal Palace late in the window.

So, Mikel Arteta currently has Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus as the centre-forward options. The German has been in excellent form this season, making seven goal contributions in 10 games in all competitions but the Brazilian has found it difficult to showcase his best. It has been suggested that the North London club need a new striker to challenge on all fronts.

Now, reporting on TBR Football, Bailey has stated that Arsenal have been handed the opportunity to sign Kolo Muani through intermediaries so it remains to be seen whether the Gunners opt to sign him to bolster the attack.

Kolo Muani to Arsenal

Luis Enrique hasn’t been convinced by the Frenchman so Les Parisiens are exploring options to offload him. The journalist says that apart from Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Newcastle United have also been given the chance to strike a deal for the striker in January.

Having moved to Parc des Princes last year, the 25-year-old, valued at around £33m by Transfermarkt, still has more than three and a half years left in his current contract.

Therefore, considering PSG signed him for around £70m, they would demand big money for the forward. But, it is highly unlikely that Arsenal will go for him if Enrique’s side ask unrealistic fee.

Kolo Muani is a versatile player as he can play anywhere across the frontline. Having a player like him is always useful. But, bearing in mind his recent struggles at PSG, the North London club should look at other options to reinforce the attack
