Golf Enthusiasts Flock to Re-Launched Mzuzu Golf Course

By Draxon Maloya

The Mzuzu Golf Course in Malawi has officially re-opened its doors after a massive refurbishment costing K250 million.

To mark this momentous occasion, 75 golfers from across the country gathered for the Sunbird Golf Tournament, teed off by Samson Mwale, Chief Executive of Sunbird Hotels and Resort.

Temwa Kanjadza, Head of Sales Marketing and Distribution at Sunbird Hotel and Resorts, expressed excitement about golf’s return to Mzuzu.

“We’re thrilled to revive the sport in this beautiful city,” Kanjadza said.

The extensive renovations didn’t just stop at the golf club; the entire playing field has been encircled with brickwork, effectively preventing illegal encroachments.

The revamped golf course promises an enhanced experience for players. With its renewed facilities and picturesque surroundings, Mzuzu Golf Course is poised to reclaim its position as a premier golfing destination in Malawi.
