Police arrest UTM Secretary General Patricia Kaliati on suspicion of plotting a crime

Police have arrested UTM Party Secretary General Patricia Kaliati on suspicion of planning to commit a crime.

National Police spokesperson, Peter Kalaya, confirmed the arrest, stating that Kaliati was taken into custody today. She is currently being held at an undisclosed police station in Lilongwe.

Kalaya further revealed that Kaliati is suspected of being involved in the alleged crime alongside two other individuals, who are still being pursued by the police.

However, Kalaya declined to provide further details about the case, citing concerns about compromising the ongoing investigation and the integrity of the evidence.
