In a thrilling semi-final showdown, Moyale Barracks Volleyball Team pulled off a stunning 3-1 victory over reigning champions Wolves in Mzuzu on Saturday afternoon.
The soldiers from the 3rd Battalion of the Malawi Defence Force secured their spot in the K25 million Raiply National Volleyball Championship finals.
Moyale Barracks dominated the opening day, defeating Blue Eagles (3-1) and Katoto Volleyball Team. This set up a highly contested semi-final match against Wolves, which they won convincingly.
Wolves will face Lilongwe Spikers in a do-or-die match for the bronze medal.
Moyale Barracks will clash with Blue Eagles in the men’s category final on Sunday afternoon. Blue Eagles secured their spot with a nail-biting 3-2 win over Lilongwe Spikers.
