Aspiring independent parliamentary candidate for Mzuzu City South East Constituency, William Kaweche, has reaffirmed his commitment to uplifting the living standards of Mzuzu residents.

Kaweche made this pledge on Saturday while participating in a road drainage cleaning exercise in Katawa area, which he supported financially and logistically.

The independent parliamentary candidate emphasized his dedication to bringing sustainable development to the constituency, highlighting tangible contributions to the community, including infrastructure development and provision of potable water.

“My goal is to ensure that Mzuzu City South East Constituency becomes a model of development. We need better road networks to connect communities and improve access to clean water, especially for those in underserved areas,” Kaweche stated.

With the September 16th polls approaching, Kaweche urged voters to critically evaluate candidates based on their track records and dedication to serving the people.

Blockleader for Katawa, Felnas Mwaluwanda, praised Kaweche for his gesture, describing him as a development-oriented leader.

Katawa Area Development Committee Secretary Leah Mtonga expressed gratitude for the support and called on Kaweche to provide portable water to the area.

Kaweche’s pledge is consistent with his previous commitments to developing the constituency, promising to revamp Mzuzu Stadium and support initiatives addressing socioeconomic challenges.
