Bakili Muluzi TV says arresting former President and DPP leader Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika and other senior party officials of the DPP, will not make Malawians forget that they have a president who Is a liar.
The online TV station said Malawi Congress Party (MCP) is a government with a broken system claiming that President Chakwera after being asked a question of fertilizer sold at K145 ,000 per bag, he responded that farmers should not get worried with the price but the profit after selling their produces.
The station said two days ago, Minister of Trade and Industry Vitumbiko Mumba was at loggerheads with Indians for hiding sugar in their shops and today Illovo has announced price hike for the same sugar speaking for itself that arresting DPP members will not bring down prices of essential commodities and small mega farms to be big.
Bakili Muluzi TV was reacting to news coming in from Malawi First research which has established that there is a list of senior DPP members and other opposition party leaders targeted for arrests ahead of the 16th September, 2025 General Elections for various previous offences they committed in government.
In a narrative, Leader of Malawi First Bon Kalindo said government after realizing that all is not rosy, has plans to arrest Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika for inciting violence, Atupele Muluzi-issues of Salima Sugar Company, Dr. Jean Mathanga, Shadric Namalomba and Dr. Ben Phiri (ESCOM) and Roza Mbilizi (MRA).
Kalindo said the list of those to be arrested also include Norman Paulosi Chisale, Dr. Patricia Kaliati and Alfred Gangata claiming that police officers on Wednesday went to the house of Gangata but unfortunately, they did not find him there.
He has advised opposition parties that this is the war he has prophesized that the MCP will wage war on the opposition parties saying that war is now, advising targeted opposition members to be prepared for police to be on their doorsteps either Wednesday or Thursday.
In his prophecy, Kalindo said the MCP has plans to see to it that the 16th September, 2025 elections be postponed because of political violence from opposition party members who will react angrily against the MCP for arresting its senior members.
“Some of the opposition party leaders will by the 16th September, 2025 be in Prison and their parties will have no presidential candidate, this will make President Chakwera to have no competitor,” he said in one of the audio clips.
