Political activist Bon Kalindo, has told the American and British governments that the Government of Malawi made fake arrests of MCP youth operatives that have been hacking innocent members of the opposition parties, activists and civil servants in Malawi.
Kalindo has claimed that the fake arrests were in response to the statement the two countries released warning the Government of Malawi that if it fails to arrest the thugs, they will have no option but to stop providing support to the two institutions-MDF and Police.
He has assured the American and British governments that Malawi is being led by mafias taking the citizens for granted and as such, they should not believe that the Government of Malawi has started arresting MCP thugs.
Speaking through an audio clip, Kalindo said there was fake arrests by police on the MCP thugs but it was just a plot for the Americans and the British to know that the MCP led government is committed to end political violence in Malawi.
Kalindo has claimed that those plotted to be arrested were kept at Area 3 Lilongwe Police Station by 06;00 a.m and by 08;00 hours, they were granted police bail following orders from the above to release them.
He said leaked WhatsApp conversations have proved that those who were arrested were telling their friends that Government cannot be arrested by another government meaning that they are in government and no government cannot arrest them.
The Activist has also claimed that interestingly, ring leaders of the MCP youth operatives were not arrested speaking for itself that the youth operatives belong to the armed wing of the MCP to be brutalizing innocent people in Malawi.
Kalindo has advised the American and British governments to maintain their stand of not providing military support to the MDF and Malawi Police Service (MPS) warning them that doing so, will be killing democracy in Malawi.
He said the actions which are being displayed by MCP panga wielding thugs against members of the opposition parties, has seen President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera condemning without taking decisive action to bring to book his party thugs.
“If panga wielding thugs are invading Parliament premises, hacking innocent people including civil servants, are Malawians safe and the elections be free and fair? Questions Kalindo.
He said ever since the MCP government was elected into power on the 23rd June, 2020 there have been increasing cases of its youth operatives hacking, beating, threatening and intimidating opposition party members advising Malawians to open their eyes that giving another 5 years to President Chakwera, these youth operatives will be killing people graduating from pangas to shooting people to death with live bullets guns.
Kalindo has finally reminded MCP youth operatives masking their faces hacking innocent people under the protection of their party in government that they were others before them who were more powerful than the MDF and police, have all gone to the eternal peace breathing dust in the grave.
