MCP Aspiring MP Chisale Launches Free Mobile Clinic in Kasungu Central to Ease Healthcare Access

Chikondi Kampachike Chisale, who is expected to contest as a Member of Parliament on the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) ticket for the Kasungu Central Constituency, has rolled out a free mobile clinic initiative to assist communities in the area.

The initiative was officially launched today in Mawango Village under Senior Chief Kaomba in Kasungu District, where residents gathered to access free medical care.

The mobile clinic is targeting common illnesses such as malaria and other ailments, which have for a long time burdened villagers who lack nearby health facilities.

Speaking at the launch, Group Village Headman John, who hails from the area, applauded the gesture, stating that the clinic would greatly help people to access medical attention quickly.

He noted that many residents in the area walk long distances to reach the nearest government health facility, which poses a challenge especially for the sick and elderly.

Chisale said the initiative is part of his broader plan to improve healthcare services in underserved communities of Kasungu Central.

He further announced plans to extend the free mobile health services to Kaphaizi and Kapalawa areas under Senior Chief Suza.

According to Chisale, the program is being implemented using a personal donation of K22.8 million aimed at bridging the healthcare gap in rural parts of the constituency.

The aspiring parliamentarian expressed hope that the initiative will not only address health needs but also show the kind of development-focused leadership he intends to offer if elected.
