United Democratic Front (UDF) aspiring Member of Parliament for Machinga Likweni, Tulinje Muluzi, has emphasized that youth development is key to achieving Malawi’s long-term development vision, Agenda 2063.

He noted that young people must be empowered with the necessary resources to innovate and provide practical solutions to the country’s challenges.

Muluzi made these remarks during an interactive session with youth drawn from various communities across Machinga District.

The aspiring MP said the future of Malawi lies in the hands of young people whose potential must be fully supported and nurtured.

He stressed the importance of creating an enabling environment where youth can thrive, explore ideas, and become drivers of economic and social transformation.

Muluzi pledged to support young people in Machinga through targeted skills development programs.

He also committed to providing mentorship opportunities that will guide the youth toward productive paths.

Furthermore, Muluzi promised to offer school bursaries to deserving students as a way of promoting education and breaking cycles of poverty.

He said education remains a fundamental pillar in building a generation that is ready to lead the nation towards sustainable growth.

The youth in attendance welcomed Muluzi’s vision and expressed hope that such initiatives will translate into real change in their lives and communities.

Muluzi’s message resonated with many who view youth empowerment as not just a political promise but a national necessity.

As the 2025 elections approach, Muluzi’s focus on youth issues could become a defining element of his campaign and a potential model for transformative leadership.
