A concerned citizen of Malawi Mrs. Elizabeth Kalinda Banda of Area 51 in Lilongwe, has claimed that the will of people is reigning supreme warning all those that are fighting with the will of the people, that they will fall miserably.
Kaliza said Vitumbiko Mumba has been a reject in the MCP and is regarded as a threat to the party’s position of Vice President saying as such, some other senior members of the party are doing everything possible to finish him politically.
She said Mumba was poised to win the Mzimba central constituency MCP seat even the elections would be held in his absentia against Presidential advisor Mr. Adamson Mkandawire, but the will of the people ran supreme to guide Mumba to go to court for justice to be seen.
The citizen said the Mzuzu High Court has ordered the MCP to conduct fresh primary elections for Mzimba central constituency describing this as shame to the whole MCP and President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera who chose to remain quiet on the issue.
She said this is a great lesson to the MCP to respect the will of the people observing that no one in Malawi expected that the court can issue an injunction against Mec for rejecting independent auditors and clinging to the use of Smartmatic machines in the transmission of figures.
Kaliza said the MCP is allegedly using taxpayers’ money to capture all strategic institutions but God is watching and is revealing Himself through his greatness by standing together with the will of the people hence the court ruling against Mec and their influencer-the MCP.
She said in Mumbas case, the court has ruled that the fresh primary elections would be presided over by the MCPs National Executive Committee (NEC) the very same NEC Members who are doing everything possible to reject him, will be the ones to see his victory.
“Mumba winning the case against MCP, he has defeated his own political party in two elephants fighting for the same grass,” said Kaliza Banda.
She has advised Mr. Adamson Mkandawire that the better he can do is to withdraw from the race in Mzimba central constituency to save his legacy from destruction, assuring him that he cannot fight against the will of the people.
The woman has also advised Mkandawire to keep the money he has saved while working as President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera’s advisor with only a month to go before the 16th September, 2025 elections hence no need to spend money while heading to a defeat.
She has finally advised Mumba that not all who are dining with him in the same plate are good friends saying within, there are rotten apples, asking him to beef up his security and not trusting anyone in the MCP, congratulating him for winning the case.
