Imperial Motors Unveils UD Trucks in Malawi, Targets Smarter Logistics Solutions

Blantyre, Malawi – In a strategic move to enhance transport efficiency in the country, Imperial Motors on Thursday unveiled two UD truck models—Quester and Croner—in Malawi, promising smarter logistics and dependable performance for demanding business environments.

The official launch event took place in Blantyre and was graced by key industry players and logistics professionals.

Speaking during the unveiling, Imperial Motors Regional Sales Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, Duncan Molepo, emphasized the trucks’ suitability for African terrains.

“The durability and fuel efficiency of these UD trucks make them the best option to drive businesses forward in Malawi,” said Molepo.

He highlighted that both models are equipped with advanced features, including a new instrument cluster with real-time fuel coaching, designed to provide drivers with instant feedback on driving techniques that promote fuel economy and reduce operational costs.

The launch also marked a significant milestone as Imperial Motors celebrates 90 years of the UD Trucks brand globally—underscoring nearly a century of innovation, reliability, and commitment to the transport sector.

According to Imperial Motors, the introduction of the Quester and Croner trucks is aligned with their mission to offer sustainable, high-performance vehicles that meet the evolving demands of Malawi’s logistics and transportation industry.
