President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is busy conducting whistle-stops campaign meetings wooing registers voters to vote for him as President, MCP Members of Parliament (MPs) and councilors for the development projects he has initiated to continue.

President Chakwera has been seen expressing his worries with prices of fertilizer, sugar, cooking oil and other essential goods blaming companies for exorbitant price increases with the aim of making Malawians label him a failure in government.

He is shifting the blame to business people without taking action to support his claims meaning that he is running away from his responsibility of improving the welfare of Malawians, a good leader should not shift blame but finding solutions to the problems.

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) running mate Justice Dr. Jane Ansah has been conducting whistle-stops campaign meetings in the Northern Region districts where she has been appealing to President Chakwera not to run away from his responsibility of looking after the welfare of his people.

Justice Ansah said it is true that prices of essential commodities have skyrocketed at nobody’s care in 5 years of President Chakwera’s rule observing that when the DPP was leaving government in June, 2020 the country’s inflation rate moved from 23 percent to 8.62 percent.

She said under the DPP rule of Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika prices of essential commodities were reasonable and goods were affordable for the poor people to feel secured that they are taking part in the affairs of government.

The DPP running mate said within 5 years of President Chakwera and the MCP, inflation rate has moved from 8.62 percent to 38 percent saying it is a surprise that President Chakwera is blaming business people without blaming himself and his government.

” Between president Chakwera and his MCP and business people, who is behind price increases of essential commodities in Malawi? Questioned Justice Ansah SC.
She said former President Professor Mutharika ever since he was elected into office in 2014 he did not run away from his responsibility and start accusing other people of sabotaging his government through exorbitant price increases, he solved matters by himself bringing down inflation rate to a single digit 8 percent.

Business entrepreneur Kondwani Kachamba Ngwira, has promised Malawians that if Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika wins the 16th September, 2025 elections, within 3 months he will offer 1000 Malawian scholarship for Masters and PhD as part of celebration.

Kachamba Ngwira says as he promised to construct and donate more than 130 houses to Cyclone victims assuring Malawians that he will honor his promise bringing Directors from different countries in Europe and Asia who oversee scholarship programs.

“We will come to Malawi for 3 days together giving out scholarships pompo pompo,” reads Kachamba Ngwira’s writings on the wall.
