A concerned citizen of Malawi- Mrs. Elizabeth Kaliza Banda, has accused Malawi Congress Party (MCP) of releasing a survey to counter-attack all the surveys’-Afro-barometer and Institute of Public Opinion and Research (IPOR) which rated Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika as the clear winner for the 16th September, 2025 elections.
First to react to these surveys, was the MCP itself which doubted credibility of those that were entrusted to carry out the surveys describing all the previous surveys that puts Professor Mutharika as a winner, not to be true.
To make President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera not to lose hope with the 16th September, 2025 elections, Mr. Shyley Kondowe and his team, has released their own survey report that President Chakwera is the most preferred candidate across the country with 55 percent against Professor Mutharika’s 34.8 percent.
Mutharika Leads in Latest Pre-Election Survey
Interestingly, two men behind this survey Mr. Shyley Kondowe and Mr. Adamson Mkandawire, are President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera’s advisors and what they have done in their survey, was to cover the boss from shame.
In the survey released by Mr. Shyley Kondowe, the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) has been found to be enjoying full support taking central region districts as its bedroom with 81.5 percent against the DPP in the southern region with 30 percent.
Mrs. Kaliza Banda said he is not surprising with the survey results released by Mr. Shyley Kondowe saying the MCP is hiding from truth that they are heading for a miserable defeat and there is no way they can win the elections if manual counting and manual transmission of votes is applied.
She has reminded Malawians that Mr. Shley Kondowe and Mr. Adamson Mkandawire were caught with cameras counting thousands of US Dollars in the hotel room while accompanying President Chakwera in one of the trips to the USA the very same Dollars President Chakwera is blaming the opposition parties.
The citizen has advised MCP members and supporters not to be made to believe of the survey report compiled by Mr. Shyley Kondowe and his team urging them not to vote for a losing candidate but a clear winning President, Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.
She said the MCP is doing its best to make sure that there is war in Malawi saying the MCP is tampering with telecommunication towers to help it rig the elections advising President Chakwera that Malawians are not sleeping, even children know that the MCP wants to rig this election.
“Malawian eyes are wide awake, President Chakwera is trying himself to be President while the people themselves do not want him as their President,” said Kaliza.
She has finally urged the new government of the DPP to take over the country from 16th September, 2025 to bring to book Mr. Shyley Kondowe, Mr. Adamson Mkandawire, and others, for being behind the MCP inflicting pain and sufferings on the entire 22 million plus citizens in Malawi.
