Ulemu Jeremoth Chilapondwa who until the 16th September, 2025 election was Member of Parliament for Ntchisi South constituency, has wholeheartedly thanked God the Almighty for having given him an opportunity to serve his people for 11years.
Writing on his face book soon after the defeat to Peter Gamula who was standing as an independent candidate, Chilapondwa congratulated MP-Elect Peter Gamula saying the people of Ntchisi South have spoken, Gamula really fought a good fight and he deserve it, wishing him all the best as he serves the people of Ntchisi South.
Chilapondwa falls the line of notable people who have suffered defeats in the areas they were standing as parliamentary candidates in the names of Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda, Kezzie Msukwa, Dr. Jessie Kabwila, Madalitso Kazombo, Dr. Abel Kayembe, Dr. Ken Zikhale Ng’oma, Uchizi Mkandawire, Bonnex Mwamulima, Abida Mia, Ibrahim Matola, Dr. Owen Chomanika, Deus Gumba, Bennedicto Chambo, Jean Sendeza, Skeffa Chimoto, Walter Nyamilandu and Dr. Mathews Mtumbuka, among others.
From the DPP camp, Shadric Namalomba and Bright Msaka SC have been shown the exit door in their constituencies and those going to Parliament include Sam Dalitso Kawale, Jappie Mhango, Bester Awali, Engineer Vitumbiko Mumba, Everton Chimulilenji, Frank Mwenefumbo, Norman Chisale, Alfred Gangata, Peter Mukhito, Enock Chihana, Sameer Suleiman, and Mary Thom Navicha
The list of notable names going to Parliament continues with Dr. Patricia Kaliati, Susan Dossi, Catherine Gotani Hara, Felix Njawala, Richard Chimwendo Banda, Dr. Kondwani Nankhumwa, and Eisenhower Mkaka, among others.
Social media influencer Mneneri, Joshua Chisa Mbele writing on his face book page confirms that a DPP candidate Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika is leading for Landslide victory with no Re-Run saying he is returning to State House.
Chisa Mbele has reminded Malawians that Professor Mutharika once described President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and his MCP as a bunch of people who see nothing, hear nothing, and do nothing, his numbers are simply magical and unprecedented.
“Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika wakwapula munthu, this time, it’s with a decisive mandate, no Re-Run with anybody,” reads his writings on the wall.
On his part, Jemimah Ray Michailler says Professor Mutharika must be a very lucky man, throwing out her hat to him that he won the elections in 2014 from nowhere, now he has won again, claiming that all this is the stupidity of the MCP, their greedy have costed them, congratulating Professor Mutharika for the win.
