Freedom fighter and activist Kamlepo Kalua, has claimed that over K4.5 trillion has been spent at the State House and there are reports that various property at the State House have been looted, a development which has put to shame President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.
Kalua said while State House has spent such trillion Kwachas within the last 4 months to the 16th September, 2025 elections, some other officers at the State House have found their way looting public resources such as plates, spoons, and iron steel bars, among others.
The K4.5 trillion has been spent while the country has no fuel, drugs in hospital, fertilizer, and above all, Malawians are sailing through pain and sufferings, millions and spending nights with empty stomachs with no hope for a better tomorrow.
Speaking through an audio clip, Kalua has claimed that they know all the people who have stolen curtains, plates, and spoons at the State House assuring them that the long arm of the law will arrest and charge them of theft by public servant.
Kalua said it is very sad that the country can be turned into a sorry State observing that what is happening at the State Hose is a constitutional matter reminding Malawians that Professor Mutharika left the State House two weeks before the elections.
He said Dr. Bakili Muluzi went to live at the BCA hill wondering why Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is allowing his boys to steel spoons, iron bars, among others, advising outgoing President Chakwera to immediately discipline his youth warning him that failure to take action will leave the people with nothing but to arrest him.
According to reports from an insider, police officers are cutting down trees, others are hunting animals, the shop at the State House has been looted by allegedly President Chakwera sister’s child and everything has been taken.
“They are leaving water taps running inside the house and some houses have been smeared with human waste on the walls, “reads the reports from State House,” said Kalua.
He has advised President Chakwera to stop his boys stealing for him to be respected by Malawians questioning him that what is it Professor Mutharika has done to him warranting his boys to turn the State House into an ordinary house not respected as previously was?
Kalua has finally advised State residence officials that are stealing money from public coffers including cars by re-painting and safe-keeping in neighboring countries, to stop what they are doing or take them to the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) warning them that they risk to be arrested for involving themselves in criminal matters.
