After being in the wilderness of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) led government of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera leaving genuine activists in the names of Bon Kalindo, Pastor Moses Shumba and others, fighting with their clips for the liberation of Malawi, Redson Munlo is now back to activism.
Frustrated by events of what happened in Mwanza where he lost the 16th September, 2025 parliamentary elections standing for MCP arguing that the party played a hand in his defeat, Munlo has switched the goalposts from darkness to light.
Just like many people from MCP who have expressed interest to join the DPP after seeing that the MCP has lost the elections, the only opportunity is resting with the DPP for them to be seen in active politics, but DPP doors of welcoming people from MCP have been sealed off.
Writing on his face book page, Comrade Redson Munlo has claimed that he has receipts of the Maheu bought for the 6th July, 2025 Independence celebrations where each packet was bought at K25,000 and the MCP led government paid for it.
Munlo has also claimed that he has the identity of the supplier of those Maheu’s – a senior member of the MCP, his revelation has awakened Malawians reminding them of the Nicholas Daus saga when he was Minister of Homeland Security in the DPP led government buying one prison plate for K110,000.
He has urged the DPP led government of President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to shake up the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) so that it rises from the dead for whistle blowers like him to start feeding the institution with evidence.
“Supplier wa Maheu ndi wamkulu mimba uja, konzani msanga ACB whistle blowers are all available with tangible evidence in court,” reads the writings of Munlo on the wall.
Social media influencer Mneneri Joshua Chisa Mbele writing on his face book page, said as a matter of principle and political correctness, President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera must step down as MCP leader and allow new blood takeover the mantle.
Chisa Mbele has expressed fears that Chakwera’s continued stay in the party will kill the MCP observing that Malawi needs effective and forminable leadership in MCP as opposition party calling for Engineer Vitumbiko Mumba, Richard Chimwendo Banda and Dr. Jessie Kabwila to go.
To the DPP Administration, Chisa Mbele has advised the party to expedite investigation into allegations of corruption on how some Malawi Congress Party’s heavyweights have amazed so much resources over a night in 5 years of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.
“Expedite investigations into all allegations of corruption, don’t leave any stone unturned ngati anaba send them to jail, Chakwera must leave MCP levers of power immediately,” reads Chisa Mbele’s writings on the wall.
