Honorable Peter Mukhito has officially taken the oath of office as Malawi’s Minister of Homeland Security on Sunday, 2 November 2025.

In addition to the oath of office, Mukhito also took the oath of allegiance, pledging to serve the nation with integrity, dedication, and commitment to safeguarding citizens.

His appointment comes at a time when Malawi faces multiple security challenges, and effective leadership in the Ministry of Homeland Security is critical for maintaining public order and safety.
