Leader of Enlightened Christian Gathering Church (ECG) Prophet Shephered Bushiri, has prayed to the Lord to grant newly appointed Chief Executive Officer for the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute (SMEDI) Kondwani Kachamba Ngwira wisdom, excellence, and divine insight for his leadership at SMEDI to bring innovation, stability and progress to the country.
Writing on his official face book page in a message of congratulations, Prophet Bushiri has asked God to give Kachamba Ngwira favor, and guiding him in every decision he make making his tenure to be marked by impact, growth, and lasting legacy.
Prophet Bushiri says Ngwira’s appointment has come at a pivotal time for the nation, saying the future of Malawi’s economic strength lies greatly in the hands of SMEDI which is the backbone of job creation, innovation, and sustained growth.
“Kachamba Ngwira has the opportunity to unlock the enormous potential within the country’s entrepreneurs, empower young business minds and creating an environment where Malawians can confidently build, and expand their enterprises,” reads Prophet Bushiri’s writings on the wall.
In his remarks, Acting Publicity Secretary for the yet to be registered political party rebranded from MCP- the new Liberation Party (NLP) Isaiah Emmanuel Sunganimoyo, said the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has the ability to foster a sense of unity and inclusivity.
Sunganimoyo said many people previously perceived the DPP as a political party lacking refinement, but this perspective was misguided saying in reality, DPP is a party that demonstrates appreciation for its members regardless of the magnitude of their contributions to political activities.
“How they appoint members to various ministerial and directional positions, it is evident that they strive for equitable distribution,” he said.
He said unfortunately, the MCP does not adopt a similar approach, it failed to acknowledge the accomplishments of ordinary members, instead, only those in higher positions within the party were considered for appointments to various positions.
Sunganimoyo said he is speaking this message not to disparage his beloved party but rather, to express his admiration for the DPPs ability to foster a sense of unity and inclusivity for the MCP to borrow a leaf and be able to apply that in future.
A Malawi Congress Party (MCP) diehard of Mvera in Dowa district Mr. Rodgers Kamphangala, said Kondwani Kachamba Ngwira’s appointment has not come as a surprise to Malawians saying he deserves for the position in government, he fought courageously against MCPs bad governance and corruption syndicates.
Kamphangala said he is hoping that genuine activists such as Comrade Bon Kalindo, Lytone Mangochi, Bakili Muluzi TV, Comrade Ntanyiwa and journalists such as Suleman Chitela, Burnet Munthali, Jones Gadama, and others, will not be thrown away to the dustbins in the same way the MCP did with Sylvester Nyoni, Hon. Alex Major, and other diehard members of the party.
