Early this morning at 5:53 am, two minibuses heading from Ntcheu to Lilongwe effortlessly dodged multiple police roadblocks, exposing serious gaps in law enforcement on our roads.
Even at a roadblock near Tsangano,
one vehicle forced a police officer to stop—but the driver showed no fear. Officers only watched from a distance before letting the bus pass, then pulled it aside for a brief, almost casual interaction. Moments later, the bus continued its journey as if nothing had happened.
This incident raises urgent questions: What are police officers really doing at roadblocks if vehicles can simply slip through? Is law enforcement on our highways a show, or is it failing the public?
